For the holiday season I will have chairs both at Spirit and Kitsch in Ithaca, and at Cezanne, the holiday art show organized by Community Arts of Elmira (CAE) in Elmira, NY. As the semester draws to a close, I'm feeling optimistic about painting over winter break, so go ahead and place a special order!
Spirit and Kitsch is open 12-5 Sundays, and 10-6 Monday-Saturday (extended hours coming soon)
Cezanne is open 12-4 Thursday through Sunday from Nov. 10th to Dec. 24th

Collaboration Show at Spirit and Kitsch
September 7th through October 3rd
"The artists of Spirit and Kitsch have teamed with each other to make some wonderful and cool new work. For example: what do you get when you cross a chair artist and a mobile artist, a potter and a painter, a jeweler and painters, a fabric artist and an artist of all things? And there are so many others you'll surely want to check it out."

Comission at Viva Taqueria
I'm diving into a commission project for one of Ithaca's Mexican restaurants, Viva Taqueria (www.vivataqueria.com)! I've picked up five of their dining room chairs and 15 pails of paint left over from other interior design projects. I'll work on at least these five chairs and a dozen stools for the taqueria side of the restaurant, and then perhaps some more chairs for the cantina side if the first five work out. I got some great advice from the folks at Ithaca Paint and Decorating Inc. about what materials to use on "high traffic" chairs like these. I'm looking forward to the weekend--great chair-painting weather has been forecasted!

Happy Summer!
I am officially finished with school for the year, and am ready to plunge into painting chairs full time for the summer! As of today, I've sold two chairs at Spirit and Kitsch, received two personal commissions, and in June will begin working on some of local Mexican restaurant Viva Taqueria's chairs (at least for their taqueria, and maybe for their cantina as well: www.vivataqueria.com). It's looking like it's going to be a busy summer!
