Well, the show at the ABC Cafe was a success (the owner bought two of the chairs!), and the art is now showing at the Smart Monkey Cafe in Ithaca. Go and see it! It will be up for the month of January.

I began painting chairs in 2004 after seeing an inspirational example on a trip to North Carolina. I was instantly enthralled by the idea of painting pictures on furniture. I enjoy playing with the line between art and craft and between beauty and utility. These works of art are meant to be sat upon!
